MEALS FOR FRIENDS

Meal planning for a ski holiday

A plan ready for when you leave the slopes.

Plan seven evenings at the chalet without deciding dinner from scratch every day. An example for three families with two children each.

01

Agree the basics first

Will you share breakfast and dinner? Is there an oven, enough cookware and fridge space? Discuss allergies and preferences before shopping and enter suitable dishes.

02

A sample week at the chalet

Saturday: pasta on arrival. Sunday: cheese spätzle. Monday: baked potatoes. Tuesday: eat out. Wednesday: chilli. Thursday: vegetable curry with rice. Friday: leftovers and a quick soup. Adapt these ideas to your group.

03

Count breakfast separately

Breakfast eggs and eggs for batter belong on the same total list. Add both meals with their frequencies instead of adding quantities from memory. Check the full list before leaving.

04

Fill the gaps in your calendar

Assign dishes to your travel dates. A planned restaurant visit covers dinner but adds no ingredients. On departure day, plan only the meals you actually need.
