Start with the adult portion
Enter the amount per adult. In proportional mode, set factors for teenagers and children. Alternatively, enter absolute portions for each group.
A worked example
Suppose you plan 100 g of dry pasta per adult and a child factor of 0.6. For six adults and four children, that is 6 × 100 g + 4 × 60 g = 840 g. These figures illustrate the calculation; they are not nutritional advice.
Not every ingredient needs the same factor
Appetites, ages and meals vary. Adjust suggested amounts per ingredient, for example when each child should have a whole bread roll. The app still stores the actual portion amounts.
Account for repeated meals
If a meal is planned twice, its ingredient needs count twice too. Check frequency, group sizes and units before using the shared shopping list.
