“How can I stay home and take care of my house, my family and my health and still make a little money?” That was the question I posed to myself in February 2009. I had all this “free time” on my hands after being laid off in 2008 from a job I loved with an IT company. I’ve never not worked outside the home so I had to come up with something challenging to keep myself going. “Hey, I said….I should be my own boss!”
So, I was perusing the internet one cold winter day looking for fun Valentines Day ideas and I happened upon a very interesting site that had some great fondue recipes. Looking around the site, I found a bio of the blogger that explained her journey from the corporate world to affiliate marketing.
“What’s that?” I said. I vowed to learn all I could about how I could possibly make it work for me. It took a while and a few false starts and some uncertainty about whether I could pull it off. I still learn something new every single day and no, I’m not getting rich quick in this business. I learned that it takes a lot of hard work and dedication but it can be done!
I’d like to give a personal thumbs up recommendation to Rosalind Gardner and her e-book Super Affiliate Handbook. She gave me the confidence and taught me everything I needed to start making money with my blogs!
Oh, also I want to give a shout-out to my good friend Kelly for teaching me how to get started down this path with my bare-bones budget. I never, ever would have figured it out without her help!
The world is my audience and I try every day to share what I have learned and expand my horizons by learning from others.
